Forge Motorsport Intake System VW Golf MK6 GTI

The kit consists of a complete replacement intake made of fully curved aluminium which is powder-coated black. Forge Motorsport uses only 70mm diameter tubes which will not cause any problems with the MAF sensor. The filter is a PiperCross high flow cone filter housed in its own housing at the front of the vehicle. Everything is connected via high-quality silicone couplings and stainless steel hose clamps.

Regarding performance, both on road and track testing confirmed that on a standard car the gains are between 3-5 hp compared to the standard installation. However, on a software-tuned engine, the limitation of the original air filter box is quickly visible, and the gains were in the region of 13-15 hp. This was also seen in the torque figures. This gain will depend on the software installed and can of course be greater depending on the contamination of the OEM filter.
