This complete Ramair Proram Oversized Air Intake kit is suitable for the VW Golf 7/7.5 GTI/R/Clubsport 2.0 TSI, Seat Leon Mk3 2.0 Cupra, Audi Q3 2.0 TFSI, Audi TT 2.0 TFSI, Audi A3 2.0 TFSI, VW Touareg 2.0 TSI, VW Alhambra 2.0 TSI, VW Passat 2.0 TSI, Skoda Superb 3V, Skoda Octavia RS, Audi SQ2 GA, VW T-Roc 2.0 R, and VW Tiguan 2.0 TSI.

This Proram open air intake from Ramair is a direct replacement for the original intake and provides increased airflow and improved intake sound (compared to the original). The kit includes a high-quality PRORAM nanofiber sports air filter (with Twin Tangential Velocity Stack), a lightweight black powder-coated aluminum heat shield, and a black oversized intake pipe (hard pipe). The aluminum heat shield fits the original mounting points and rubbers of the air filter box without any modifications. The heat shield allows for lower intake temperatures and better airflow to the filter area.

This kit is a so-called oversized kit, meaning it features an extra-large pipe diameter and air filter. The intake pipe tapers from 102mm (4") to 80mm. For this, you also need an oversized turbo inlet (80mm). This is included with this intake kit and is mounted to the aluminum pipe using a V-band connection. This ensures a strong connection and prevents leaks in the intake tract leading to the turbo. This connection also ensures a very good connection between the intake pipe and the turbo inlet, resulting in optimal flow (so no swirling).

This oversized intake also produces a more powerful intake sound due to its large dimensions.

An oversized intake is especially recommended for cars with Stage 2 tuning or upgraded turbos. It is also recommended if you want a louder intake sound from the turbo while driving.

The flow from the filter to the intake pipe is also optimized by the velocity stack. This is a very fluid connection on the filter, allowing the air to flow more smoothly towards the intake pipe.

The oversized intake pipe is equipped with a connection for the original vacuum hose, which is also located on the original intake tract. The oversized turbo inlet also has a connection for the PCV hose.

It is recommended to check the nanofiber filter between 8,000 and 16,000 kilometers and clean/replace it if necessary. Replace the filter whenever you see any damage. If properly maintained, the filter can last 10 to 15 years.
