TTE475 for the MQB 2.0L engine, our evolution of the popular TTE470, with the same proven compressor and turbine, but now with the original recirc function. We keep the original turbocharger turbine but trim the original blades for increased flow and to lower exhaust gas temperatures. We fit a larger 6+6 blade milled billet compressor to produce extra power, but with a focus on response like the OEM IS38.

We also fit our TTE CNC silencer delete. We modify the turbo discharge silencer, remove the original baffle internals and fit a new straight through section, removing any restriction and its function as a silencer, thus improving flow and boosting sound.

We also replace the original thrust bearing for the TTE upgrade 360-degree made in-house.


Precise balancing of our turbochargers is a key critical factor in becoming a TTE upgrade unit, as longevity and performance are of paramount importance. Good balancing also improves acoustics. Next, great care is taken on all TTE turbochargers to achieve our balancing standards. First, components are balanced at low speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate balance, to a standard much higher than OEM. Each turbocharger comes with a serial number balanced test result document.
