We are pleased to introduce our TTE500+ performance turbocharger, including a CNC-matched and machined OE intake pipe for the 2.5 TFSI engine.
Based on the original turbocharger, but upgraded to a new specification with higher output. Provides the complete Ultra Plug & Play upgrade.
Engineered & Enhanced
The heart of our TTE500+ is a much larger TTE compressor wheel, chosen because it is highly efficient and offers extremely high flow for its size, with a reshaped compressor housing with optimised tolerance to ensure maximum compressor efficiency is offered.
We CNC-milled the exhaust turbine housing to accept a larger TTE 9-blade turbine and shaft that are low in mass for fast response. TTE500 was previously a K24 turbine, but our 9-blade design offers more peak power and a wider torque range.
Attention is paid to CNC-porting the exhaust ducts at the flange to match and smooth the transition from the cylinder head to the exhaust duct for maximum gas velocity and therefore improved efficiency to the larger 9-blade turbine.
A special high-performance motorsport TTE bearing system is fitted to remain durable under higher loads without loss of transient response. The actuator used is an upgraded OE spring-loaded unit, fitted with our reinforced clamps for trouble-free use.
The OEM intake pipe included with this upgrade is CNC-milled to match and smooth the transition to the compressor's larger intake opening to reduce turbulence, maximise air velocity and mass, and is also sealed with a TTE-designed O-ring system for a consistently reliable seal.
Equilibrium
Accurately balancing our turbochargers is a crucial factor in becoming a TTE upgrade unit, as longevity and performance are of paramount importance. Proper balancing also improves acoustics. With all TTE turbochargers, great care is taken to achieve our balancing standards. First, components are balanced at low speeds up to 2800 rpm in multiple planes using our single component machine, then the components are assembled and then the CHRAs are dynamically balanced, but this time, depending on the application, up to 250,000 rpm in multiple planes using our proprietary VSR machine to achieve the ultimate balance, at a standard much higher than OEM. Each turbocharger comes with a serial number balancing test result document.
