TTE850+ Upgraded Turbochargers Porsche 991 / 991.2 Turbo S

Welcome to our TTE850 VTG upgrade for the 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. To produce a set of TTE850 VTG turbochargers, we replace the original backplates and compressor housings with 'Gen 2' specification components. We install a significantly larger and more efficient billet compressor wheel and machine the Gen 2 compressor housings to the optimal clearance for the new compressor profile. The turbines are of original manufacture, but the blades are 'clipped' for improved flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures; material has also been removed to improve response, and we CNC-machine the exhaust housings for better flow.

Balancing

Extremely precise balancing of our turbochargers is crucial for a TTE upgrade, as durability and performance are our top priorities. Proper balancing also helps reduce noise. Great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to meet our stringent balancing requirements. First, the components are balanced at low speeds (up to 2800 rpm) in multiple planes on our machine for individual components. The components are then assembled and the CHRA is dynamically balanced - depending on the application, at speeds of up to 250,000 rpm in multiple planes - on our own VSR machine. This achieves optimum balance that far exceeds OEM standards. Every turbocharger is supplied with a serial-numbered balancing report.
