Akrapovič Titanium Evolution Line Cupra Formentor VZ5

The handmade carbon fiber exhaust pipes with titanium inner liners, the sandblasted high-quality titanium muffler, and the connecting pipe made of premium stainless steel are crafted with race-proven materials and provide an incredible weight reduction of 49.6% compared to the standard exhaust system.

On each side of the muffler, there is an exhaust valve – with housings made in Akrapovič’s own foundry – designed to optimize the sound. These valves deliver a sharp, distinctive, and well-defined tone to the engine and create a difference between the car’s driving modes. In Comfort mode, the exhaust produces a relaxed sound, ideal for long drives. The tone changes in Sport mode, giving a strong preview of the engine’s potential, and in Cupra mode, the sound rises to a satisfying, sporty roar when the engine is pushed to the limit. The system also comes with a specially developed control kit, allowing passengers to experience the full sound experience of an Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust.

Tests on the Akrapovič dyno, compared to a Cupra Formentor VZ5 with the standard exhaust, showed a power gain of 7.8 kW (10.6 hp) at 2,800 rpm and a torque increase of 27.3 Nm at 2,750 rpm. No ECU remapping is required for this configuration, and the ECE type approval is valid for cars equipped with an OPF (Otto particulate filter). An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is also available. When this component is installed, the ECE type approval of the Evolution Line (Titanium) is voided. The ECE type approval is valid for cars equipped with an OPF (Otto particulate filter).

With the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit, owners of certain Akrapovič exhaust systems can control the system’s sound from the cockpit of their car. Thanks to Akrapovič technology, drivers can easily switch between a quiet mode and a sportier sound. By using a receiver (already included in the Evolution system) to operate the actuators that open or close the valves at the end of the exhaust system, drivers can control the valves with the Sound Remote Controller or the new smartphone app (for iOS and Android).
