APR Upgrade Air Intake VW Polo MK6 AW GTI, Audi A1 GB 40TFSI

This APR Open Air Intake is suitable for the Volkswagen Polo GTI AW and the Audi A1 40TFSI. It is also compatible with EA888.3 and EA888.4 engines with or without a mass airflow sensor. 

This APR open air intake was developed to improve the flow of intake air toward the turbocharger. Its shape has been made as smooth as possible, resulting in minimal losses in the intake tract. The supplied air filter allows up to 22% more airflow compared with the original filter. The filter also has 20% more filter surface area.

The section after the air filter has also been optimized and has a smoother shape than the original, resulting in less flow loss. The connection diameter is an impressive 127 mm. This means you have a 260% larger intake area compared with the original intake pipe.

You can connect the original mass airflow sensor to this intake, where it will connect smoothly. This prevents additional internal turbulence. If your vehicle does not have a mass airflow sensor, an adapter is included, allowing installation on the intake pipe or an aftermarket intake hose.

The heat shield and intake pipe are made from a material consisting of fiberglass and polypropylene. This material effectively keeps heat out, preventing it from reaching the filter. The intake is supplied with cool air through the original air ducting. This ensures a constant supply of cool air while driving.

The intake is easy to install and uses the original mounting points.

After installing this intake, you will hear a strong turbo induction sound and notice increased power and torque. This intake can be installed on standard engines as well as engines equipped with chip tuning.
