Eventuri Carbon Fiber Air Intake BMW X3M F97, X4M F98 including Competition

The intake configuration of the BMW X3M/X4M may seem somewhat awkward at first glance, but within the available space, it is a very well-designed system. The airflow from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as with the usual OEM air filters. Instead of a completely new design, we focused on improving the OEM air filter box with less restrictive airflow and better temperature efficiency. We developed replacement filters made of non-woven mesh that have a much higher flow rate than the standard paper filters. To lower the intake air temperature and press air into the air filter box, we designed large air intakes at the front, behind the grille. The carbon air intakes channel the air and effectively reduce restriction on the intake side of the air filter box. The final component is the carbon air filter box lid, which does not provide a performance improvement but does deliver a more audible induction sound and gives the engine bay a welcome aesthetic upgrade.
