RacingLine DSG Oil Cooler DQ250 & DQ381 (6- & 7-Speed) 2.0TSI/TFSI MQB

This RacingLine DSG oil cooler is a highly recommended upgrade when driving your tuned MQB car with a 2.0 TSI engine in a sporty manner, or when driving frequently in hot conditions. This DSG oil cooler is supplied as a complete package and uses a smart sandwich design, making installation very easy.

When transferring more power from your engine through your DSG gearbox, a great deal of heat is generated. As a result, your gearbox oil temperature will continue to rise. The disadvantage of this is that your DSG gearbox will no longer operate properly, and the car may even produce less power until the DSG oil has cooled down again. Shifting may also not work properly when the oil is too hot. This is because overheated oil becomes thinner and loses its lubricating properties.

The RacingLine DSG oil cooler kit prevents these problems by installing an additional air-cooled oil cooler in the airflow at the front of the car. This can reduce the oil temperature by 15–20 degrees Celsius.

This kit uses a smart design in which the original water-cooled oil cooler is replaced with a slightly smaller variant. An adapter plate allows the RacingLine cooler to be added to the cooling system. The RacingLine oil cooler is activated by means of an integrated thermostat. This ensures optimal operation of the DSG gearbox. As soon as the oil becomes too hot, the thermostat doubles the cooling capacity by activating the air-cooled oil cooler.

The RacingLine DSG oil cooler is a very well-finished cooling kit supplied as a complete package. It is designed exclusively for MQB cars from VAG with a DQ250 6-speed gearbox or a DQ381 7-speed gearbox.

Another unique feature of this kit is that it retains the water-cooled oil cooler while adding an air-cooled cooler. This is combined with a smart thermostat that regulates the cooling of the gearbox oil.
